An upper level storm system will be digging south-southeastward out of Colorado and into eastern Texas during the next 24-hours. You can see the storm system spinning on this water vapor image.

Moisture from the gulf and below freezing weather for several days previous is the ONE set of variables that spells real snow for Chattanooga. I should warn my “nose to the grindstone, going to school, working and raising a toddler” daughter to keep an eye on the weather.
