I don’t get why it would be against sharia law for a Muslim to bring his wife into the country. Can anybody ‘splain this a little more?

simple. Mooshelle is not a muslim so she could not go with her muslim husband. They are not a full muslim couple. If I recall correctly, she had obama convert to Christianity when they married.

President Bush is not a muslim, neither is First Lady Laura so it was okay for them to go.
