Perhaps the greatest measure of Obama's declining support is that just 50% of voters now say they prefer having him as President to George W. Bush, with 44% saying they'd rather have his predecessor. Given the horrendous approval ratings Bush showed during his final term that's somewhat of a surprise and an indication that voters are increasingly placing the blame on Obama for the country's difficulties instead of giving him space because of the tough situation he inherited. The closeness in the Obama/Bush numbers also has implications for the 2010 elections. Using the Bush card may not be particularly effective for Democrats anymore, which is good news generally for Republicans and especially ones like Rob Portman who are running for office and have close ties to the former President.
How come they didn’t compare him to McCain —Bush wasn’t in the election
In other news, the Obama Administration announced it had hired Max Headroom as Press Secretary, replacing Robert Gibbs, who apparently suffered a nervous breakdown from trying to spin away Obama's drop in the polls, a breakdown indicated by his showing up for work dressed as the Joker.
2007 and 2008 were heaven compared to now. 50% of the people in this country are insane.
Oh, give it another six months, or maybe a year.
It doesn't say they WANT 0bama, it says they don't want him slightly less than they don't want Dubya.
Given that the media gave Dubya eight years of wall-to-wall hate propaganda, and can't sing the praises of 0bama loud enough or long enough or pervasively enough, that in and of itself is remarkable.
Proof positive that in the influencing Americans department the MSM rates a grade of EPIC FAIL.
