Thanks, Harry! GOP Up 8 On Generic Ballot

Well, he has been promising us a Christmas present.

Republican candidates now have an eight-point lead over Democrats, their biggest lead of the year, in the latest edition of the Generic Congressional Ballot.

The new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey shows that 44% would vote for their district’s Republican congressional candidate while 36% would opt for his or her Democratic opponent. Support for GOP candidates held steady over the past week, but support for Democrats slipped by a point.

The simple truth is this: the closer this federally intrusive, probably unconstitutional, health care reform nightmare gets to being a reality, the more the American public wakes up. Democrats can whine about Republicans blocking them (can any of them do simple math?) but the they're taking a lot of heat from the left flank now too.

November is a long way off...and Americans have short memories. We shall see.

If I were the GOP leader and if I had the emotional pull of a Glenn Beck, I’d start urging the American people for their own sake to throw the democrats out and create a veto proof majority to repeal this socialist nonsense and save our nation.

Might not get quite there, but that should be the national goal.

The only poll that will matter is the one next November.

Too little, too late, for by then we’ll already be a communist nation and no one will have the balls to turn it back.

Democrats should be defeated at all levels; local, state, and federal...from the Senate down thru dogcatchers. Remove them all from office...won’t happen everywhere, but it is a worthy goal. :-)

I thought the gap would be wider than that. What are the 40 something percent thinking? Don’t they see leftists have stolen their party? Are they really that mental?

True, but when everyone who has a job has to pay more taxes and more people lose jobs, the famous “It's the economy, stupid”, will come home to roost on the DemocRAT party.

And when details of their healthcare scam are finally exposed, going ballistic will be the order of the day for most Americans.

Many of the towns around me have already voted out every Democrat this election period. Love it, love it, love it.

We will all get along Sen. Reid . . .

When you repent for the backroom, corrupt deals to garner votes at the detriment and expense of other Americans.

When you cease floating reckless spending bills through Congress and begin to cut spending.

When you quit recklessly increasing our America’s national debt.

When you begin thinking about improving the lives of future generations of Americans instead of lining your own pockets.

When you quit trying to force socialized medicine down America’s throats (which has never worked anywhere, it has only lowered standards of living & quality of care).

When you stop pushing massive new mandatory tax increases on the American people.

When you quit trampling the U.S. Constitution by trying to force everyone from every state to purchase health insurance or pay a fine.

When you are recalled or removed from office by the citizens of the great state of Nevada.

Then we will have peace Mr. Reid.

If it gets to 20 you could see a flip in control of both houses.

An 8% differential in favor of the GOP might be enough to achieve that goal (a flip in control). Remember that Democrat voters are highly concentrated in urban areas, and numerous Congressional districts are drawn to maximize the effect of such concentration.
