I'll agree on that. The family reunion in Gladiator when Lucilla (?) tells him to go to his family - that part is emotionally taxing.

Anyone see either version of Shadowlands, the one with Anthony Hopkins and Debra Winger; the other a PBS presentation? Both will tear you up at the end.

“I’ll shed a tear for those that shed their blood.”

Good way to put it...cried at Private Ryan because of the blood that was shed..was in Vietnam...Knew people who died who shouldn’t have......

It’s virtually the same except that the girl really becomes attached to him too and you don’t have that screeching like in the first two. But yes, same scenario with airplanes buzzing the Empire State Building except the FX are way cooler.

Walt Disney's "Dumbo"when he has to say good bye to his mother.

Other than that no sale.

If it makes you feel any better, the Ferrari was a Kit Car, not the real thing.

It was a shame though. No CGI back then.

I was bummed when they blew up Crockett's Ferrari 365 GT Daytona Spyder on the Miami Vice TV show. It was a Kit Car as well, built by McBurnie in San Diego on a Corvette Chassis.

I would divorce my husband immediately had I caught him CRYING during ANY of those dopey movies.

The fact that he DID cry and then get fighting mad on 9/11 makes me love him until the end of time. :)

Field of Dreams lost me in Fenway Park with James Earl Jones.

Fenway Park is an antiquary curio, not a major league ballpark. Movies that romanticize it (and the RedSox) only make it harder to dynamite it.

In a parallel theme, I cried my adolescent heart out when the Dodge Challenger Brit Eckland was in drove into a locomotive.

Dirty Harry and Crazy Mary I think it was.

Hmmmm.....

I can't remember for sure, but I think there were a couple other people in the car.

I would say choked up, rather than cried. Except for “Field of Dreams”, the list is BS. Who in their right mind would cry when the Terminator got melted down?

“Its a Wonderful Life” gets me up every time at the end.
Other ‘emotional’ endings:
— “Avalon”
— “House of Sand and Fog” (will leave you in a stupor)
— “Forrest Gump” (when he is at Jenny’s tombstone)

‘We Were Soldiers’ got to me a little.

That one and 'Blackhawk Down' when the two snipers ran out of ammunition after jumping in to try and save the pilots of the downed chopper. Man, talk about two guys who deserved the CMH's they received posthumously.

Hey Lonesome. Now that Alexander Scourby has passed on we have only James Earl Jones that sounds like God or some reasonable facsimile. I really appreciated JEJ in the FOD role.
