I cried all morning September 11 once I realized what was going on. I was unemployed at the time and had nothing else to do.

I worked that day, retail, selling stuff to folks. People were very quiet. I wept quietly on and off all day, but totally lost it on the drive home, heading north on the 405 freeway in Orange County. Someone had draped an American flag over one of the freeway overpasses.
That's when I really broke down. My heart felt like it was about to burst.
