In a big speech today, the POTUS cited "unacceptable" failures in the American intelligence system that allowed an accused terrorist to board a U.S.-bound Northwest Airlines flight on Christmas Day, and promised changes to avert future plots. He also said that officials in some unnamed federal agencies have taken "responsibility for what went wrong" in their operations while avoiding blame for any one individual or department in particular. He said of the slip-ups "That's not acceptable, and I will not tolerate it," Obama said. "We have to do better, and we will do better. And we have to do it quickly."
While placing blame on the Intelligence system, President Obama forgot to mention his role on the error. The truth is our Commander-in-Chief took his eyes off the ball. In fact before the Christmas attack of the Underwear Bomber, the President and his democratic buddies had the National Counter-terrorism Center slated for severe budget cuts.

"That's not acceptable, and I will not tolerate it,"Speaks volumes. I just can't imagine GWB or Reagan not saying 'The American people will not tolerate it' or at least adding 'and the American people will not tolerate it.'
It's all about himself with this guy.

The attempted bombing of Delta/Northwest 253 on Christmas Day was not the first from the Islamic terrorists nor will it be the last. Since I am a pilot, I have had people ask what can a passenger do onboard an airplane to help thwart a terrorist attack. Having personal experience with a few events myself, as well as reading articles and hearing stories from other crewmembers, I can give you some information which might assist you in dealing with a suspicious passenger or situation.

Facts are stubborn things, as for example:
1) We have an instrumental record of steady rising CO2 concentrations.
2) Which tracks well with estimates of human carbon release over the last 150 years.
3) And the human origin of which is confirmed by isotopic ratio.
Any explanation of the carbon cycle that does not account for these facts is very likely incomplete.
