Americans Need To Take A Lesson From Fire Ants Building a Raft To Survive Flood (Cool Video)
interesting, Weird, and Educational Videos ^ | 1/15/10 | One Vike

This video clip is from a BBC documentary about fire ants. These ants build a raft out of worker ants in an attempt to save the Queen and the colony during a flood. There amazing instinct to survive show you why they are probably the most dominant life form on earth, withstanding almost any curve ball nature throws at them. Makes you think about the way the capitalist spirit has allowed America to become the most prosperous and successful society the world has ever seen. Throughout our history, we have withstood every curve ball our enemies thrown at us, in their attempts to bring us down. We are one of the youngest nations in the world, yet we are economically the most prosperous and the militarily the mightiest. As America goes, so too does the free world.

Follow this Link to see the video of Fire ant building raft to survive a flood. .

Unfortunately, we failed to stop the left from destroying that spirit. Now we are on the brink of becoming just another former great country as the socialists and fascists do all they can to destroy the capitalist nature of this once great country. We can sit back and allow Obama and his Fascist friends destroy that which our ancestors worked and died for, or can take a lesson from the fire ants and refuse to go down without a fight. The choice is ours, and regardless of which way we choose, our descendants will look back at these days and know the time to act was now. I pray they will be able to look back and be as proud of us, as we are of our ancestors who went to battle and defeated America's enemies of the last few centuries.

This should be a good lesson for those in Haiti also. They had very little to begin with, and now they have even less. By the time the world is finished helping them, they will have had billions of dollars pumped into their country. Now if they can learn to stand up, dust themselves off, and throw out their leaders they may be able to imprive their lives. They have only up they can go.

Unfortunately, I really do not see that happening. When the world goes away and they are left to themselves again, the same thugs will be in control. These thugs will now have billions of dollars to enrich their own lives, while the people will continue to live in absolute poverty.

For those looking to blame God for the earthquake due to the Haitians evil practice of Voodoo, I suggest looking at what God agreed to with Abraham over Sodom and Gomorra. If He found ten righteous He would not have destroyed the two cities. He did not and history shows us what happened. However, I know for a fact that there are thousands of good Christians in haiti, so No God did not punish them for their evil. Otherwise San Francisco would have been destroyed long ago.

No, the only thing the people of Haiti suffer from, besides their current travails is evil leadership. hat and evil meddling by men like Bill Clinton, Carter, Powell and other liberals who want socialist leaders in control of the world. is their own ignorance and inability to

Ants are collectivists, NOT capitalists.

The individual is expendible to the ant collective.

I think this was a rare good column from David Brooks today, and it addresses voodoo and the carnage in Haiti: http://www.nytimes.com/2010/01/15/opinion/15brooks.html?hp

Nature video Ping!

I like using nature to explain the way I see things, and when I first watched this video of fire ants building a raft to survive a flood , it made me think of America and our current travails. We need to get back to wanting to survive, or we will lise everything our ancestors fought and died for.

I agree, but as a whole nation we need to have a survivalist spirit that we had when we used to join together and defeat our enemies.

With out that portion of the ants survival instinct, we are finished as a nation.

Thanks for the link. That was an excellent article.

Interestingly, on the pages of the liberal bible NYT, Brooks says essentially the same "controversial" thing that Limbaugh said, without the accompanying outrage:

"We’re all supposed to politely respect each other’s cultures. But some cultures are more progress-resistant than others, and a horrible tragedy was just exacerbated by one of them.... This earthquake is certainly a trauma. The only question is whether the outside world continues with the same old, same old."

“Ants are collectivists, NOT capitalists.”

True! In this case, certain special ants get to crawl on the backs of expendable workers and be supported by them like some sick animal farm version of the welfare state.

No thanks. I’m happy to help my neighbor as long as he stays off my back!

We saw some of those “fire-ant rafts” while working in the flatwoods of SE Texas.....
All I can say is, stay the hell outta the way and dont’ bump into those rafts....they’ll swarm all over you.

Actually the dominant animal life form, at least by total mass, is probably termites.

As good a column as it is, the Times has balanced it out with this equally bad blog entry from Kristof, where he repeats the old canard that Americans are niggardly to poor countries, contributing less per capita than some European countries: http://kristof.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/01/15/how-generous-are-we-to-haiti-two-bucks-a-person/

Of course, Americans are the most generous people in the world, contributing far more through genuine donations from within the private sector.

It makes me think of Obama's socialist spirit as he tries to build a raft out of the bodies of real working Americans to support Queen Michelle, the UAW, and his other parasites. We have finally found a society on the intellectual level of Obama - and they're insects.

Makes me think of the old H.G. Wells short story “Empire of the Ants” where the ants turn against man.

While those fireants were on the water would have been a great time to spill some gas and light the whole river.

Did I mention that I LOATHE fireants?! LOL

They’re bad enough anyway—add in a hurricane or 10-20 inches of rain...
