One more chance for America(vanity).

Man, it has been a long night...one to REMEMBER, for a LONG time!! I, like many others here--stayed 'with things" till I KNEW it was really over in Mass. Now, I will soon go to bed. I expect tomorrow's Rush program-- will be an HISTORIC one!!

But--I felt the need to share this. Maybe--just maybe--The good Lord Is giving "one more chance" to America. It is WAY too early to tell--but things look SOOOO much brighter--than they did this time last year.

At that time--I had to endure things like "he can walk on water" and such, about Obama--as my (former) employer just HAD to watch the "coronation", of O---loud enough for ME to hear it!!. I had to hear things of this kind that made me feel "I guess time is up for this country--and the world as a whole". And instead of the "Messiah" I, like many--felt that if anything, Obama was likely the ANTICHRIST--and soon--true end-time events would begin to unfold. And as 2009 began to unfold...and he started to lay out his horrific agenda--that feeling got strengthened even more. It would not be long, I reasoned that the "storm troopers" would be coming to my door, to "check if I was in compliance"--and in March, when Obama announced his plans to send people out with a "pledge of support to sign"...I felt the "Nazis were here again"--and this time--Christians and conservatives would be the ones "going to the trains".

Then...I guess it was about July or so...the "wheels truly began to wobble" on the "O train". I think it began with the terrible "cash for clunkers" deal--which did NOT work out at ALL=---and was a fiasco for all involved--and destroyed thousands of decent--fully serviceable used cars--in the name of "green". Then--the health--care deal--thought to be a "done deal"--began to get "bogged down" by August or so--but O promised it would be "done by October. AND "cap and trade" stalled too.

By this time--O's lofty approval rating--which had been in he high 60's at Inaugration day--slipped badly. I began to think...maybe just MAYBE....O is NOT the AC....maybe just a "wanna--be"...and THEN--there was a BUNCH of things..The Olympic debacle, the bowing to the dictators, the CONTINUED inability to pass Cap--and--trade or HC..and of course--stagnant unemployement--of which, I was a victim by then. AS the Holiday season rolled around....and O's negatives got to about -15 to --18...and MANY people began to have "buyers remorse"...I began to think....Maybe he IS just a "wanna be"..or a "warning" from above--that--the NEXT time someone like O comes --he will NOT be an incompetent, narccisist, boob--who is mostly "bark but not bite". And of course--the two terror events of Ft. hood and the "fruit of kaboom" bomber did NOT improve o's image or standings--rather--they served to "open the eyes" of some who felt "terrorism is not a threat anymore". And instead of answering to the FOK bomber--and a number of "copycat" near-miss attempts at the time--O choose to stay on vacation--and play golf and surf--stating "how tried he is"..

And ALL of this time--over the last few weeks...An unknown name from Mass...Scott Brown, who was merely thought of as a "token player" in the senate race--as it was "Kennedy's seat" according to "Marcia" Coakley"-- Brown began to get some traction--and by a couple of weeks before the election--he REALLY seemed to have a chance. Suddenly--the thought of an "R" in a VERY blue state--was no longer merely a "distant dream" and tonight--even after Obama stumped for Coakley--the Massechusttes Miracle--is a REALITY!!

SO...I do NOT longer feel O may be the Antichrist. Instead--I truly DO feel he is the "warning shot" from the Lord:: "America--you had BETTER wake up--because the NEXT time someone like this comes to power--he will NOT be a helpless, incompetent "zero"--rather--he will be someone who is VERY powerful--and more along the lines of Amanedenajed, who is NOT "all bark and little bite".

So--as I told my best friend recently, when she was very down----"better days lie ahead". It does look like God IS giving America ONE more chance. ONE more opportunity to "do it right". ONE more "grace period" if you will--before the "Sh!t hits the fan"--for the last time.

I pray I am right about this feeling. I think I am. Tonight--and the trends in general--give me---and ALL of us--- some real reason to hope. Sure--the "fight has just begun"--but--as in Rocky 4--when Balboa's friend told Rocky--" he is NOT a machine" he is a MAN"... he CAN be beaten"--Tonight...I am starting to feel the same way about O and the Demons too.

This is very exciting, but all it does is slow down stuff like health care reform. We’re still circling the drain and will be, no matter which party is in control. It is just way too late.

This is great news though. It is a sweet temporary victory, but the R’s are not the savior here. They are part of what got us into this mess, and a complete turn around by them would not help.

This is STILL gonna hurt, a LOT, but at least we won’t have health care wrapped around our necks.

I still expect almost total economic collapse and world war. You could resurrect Reagan as president and it would matter not one whit. It was allowed to get too big.

America certainly dodged a bullet tonight.

It’s going to be a while before Obama goes down but I actually think the dems are going to turn on him and impeach him. He is not going to triangulate and will only get more authoritarian. The dem congresscritters will need to make an example of him in order to save themselves.

I understand perfectly how helpless and frustrated you’ve felt this past year. I think all of us here have. I don’t believe o is the anti-christ the Bible warns of, but, I do think he is an anti-christ, if that makes sense.

We, who have been praying for God to intervene in our situation, should hit our knees and thank God that He has heard our prayers and answered. I had no idea how these prayers would be answered, but, as usual, the Lord came through in His way and with His timing.

Many on here cry out for the Republicans to do this or do that. However, they aren’t and haven’t been in a position numbers wise to do anything. Also, our help comes from the Lord - not man. Having said that, He works through man and circumstances. Its just that He wants us to look toward Him for His answers. I hope I’m making sense because its very early in the morning and I haven’t been able to sleep.

We should all be able to breathe a small sigh of relief from this victory in MA, however, the war hasn’t been won - yet. Just one battle. We have many more to face in the future, but, we need to stay diligent and in prayer for our country.

I always thought Obama was AN Anti-Christ or at least demonic, not THE Anti-Christ. Like you put it, a precursor or a warning shot or as I like to borrow a Glenn Beckism, "Obama is the retarded, younger cousin to The Anti-Christ." He is still dangerous, but he does not know when he hyperextends himself and thus it looks like he met his Waterloo.

BTW, your use of the Rocky movies parallels my thoughts too, I always said that a "lot of life's truths can be found in the Rocky movies."

It is so amazing how we got a Republican Senator out of Massachusetts and in Ted Kennedy's old seat as well. I think I might have found a solution to the energy crisis, if there wa a crisis at all, hook up Teddy's body to a generator, he will keep on spinning in his grave so much that the Energizer Bunny pales in comparison.
