Meridith Viera seemed a bit annoyed that she was interviewing the newly elected Republican Scott Brown instead of Democrat Martha Coakley now that Massachusetts voters made their choice in the Tuesday special election for the open Senate seat there.
Viera did her level best to phrase the results of the election in an agenda driven way but Scott Brown wasn't taking the bait. In fact, he proved exactly why he was elected over the bumbling Coakley. He refused to accept Viera's lefty narrative and restated the day's events with his own, positive message.
Viera started out trying to get Brown to admit that the only reason he won is because Martha Coakley made so many mistakes in her campaign. This was an effort to make less of Brown's win by saying that the voters didn't really vote for him at all. Viera asked, " do you think that your victory was a result of missteps by your opponent or did you tap into something that the Democrats didn't get about the voters?"
Brown wisely didn't accept the premise that he only won because Coakley was such a poor candidate. Brown immediately replied to Viera's cheapening of his own campaign efforts by saying, "Well, I don't really think about what she did, I just focus on what I did "

But I'd hit it.
Good for him. Meredith and the rest of the lame stream media, thinks the voters are all stupid, unless there voting for the dems. That’s what she’s really saying.
Meredith Viera is not even CLOSE to being as “wacked out” about this as Olbermann and Matthews are.
Obviously, its just the beginning. The Palin/Cheney/Bork/Thomas treatment awaits all Republicans who pose a threat to the Democrat’s Marxist dream.
If you wanted to hit what's in that picture, you would need Marty McFly to bring you back 20 years, buddy.
Meredith Viagra?
Nice air brushing!!!
20 years? You’re too kind...
bflr
Not because they have opinions different from mine, but because they are growing increasingly loud, intolerant & belligerent. Whatever little sense of decorum & discretion - they may have had at one time is long gone. They pretty much snipe from the gutter now.
He’s good. And while I’m a big Sarah Palin fan, I hope she was paying attention, because being able to understand when she’s being set-up by lefties and responding directly and specifically is one thing she needs to work on, IMHO.
OK, you you tried to hit Helen Thomas, too.
Do you think that you could “dial it back a notch”, Meredith? Sheesh! You’re there to do an interview, not give advice.
Look at her pinched face as she is talking and (halfway) listening to Senator Brown. She looked like she was being asked to clean up dog poo with her bare hands.

In younger days this would have been a classic example of beer goggles...
That was the first thing I thought, too. Meredith was hoping for a Katie Couric replay here.
