Obama's Mistakes May Cause Dems to Lose BOTH Houses.
The Lid/National Journal ^ | 1/29/10 | The Lid

Charlie Cook, is an acclaimed political analyst and publisher of The Cook Political Report newsletter, which publishes analysis of the primaries and general elections for federal political offices and state governorships. The Report's predictions are accorded high credibility among journalists and politicians.

Three weeks ago Cook's column in the National Journal predicted that if trends continue, the GOP will take over the house in 2010. He says that bad political news breeds more bad political news, and the Democrats have been faced with nothing but bad news.

This week Cook has now upped the ante, he now says Presidental screw-ups have created a situation where that the odds of a Republican Senate majority in the relatively near future are very high.

Hope so, but I think the Dems and the press are going to resort to damage control measures that they didn’t use in 1994. May make little difference, but...

Lot of "baggage" on this site.

I use "No Script" and it lists 31 scripts that this site tries to run...almost all are ads, etc.

Very trashy site!

Socialization of Health-Care doomed Year-1.

National Security(terrorist trials) will doom Year-2

A Lame-Duck by Year-3.

Obama’s mistakes? Mistakes? Really. No, I’m sorry they are not “mistakes”, they are his persona, his philosophy. It is what he IS. He is on a mission to take this country down. He must be stopped. We can do it. Scott Brown was a start.

Do we dare hope for veto-proof majorities-?!

Sounds good until you stop to think that it would probably mean the return to the spotlight of dolts like John McCain.

UGH!

That would drive people of BOTH parties right out of our minds.

It'd turn out to be only a slight bump in the road before the media convinced enough sheep to allow the Progressive America-haters back in to finally have their way once and for all in running rough shod over the Constitution.

Winning doesn't mean a thing if the winners act like wimps when the Pravda Media pounds them, as happened in '94.

It can only stop the slide into Socialism and the destruction of a free United States if we have candidates with courage and conviction.

At the current pace, I pretty much expect to take back both houses. Just think back to a year ago and how this administration/Congress could do anything they wanted (they still can, technically). I wonder if Rahm is kicking himself for making the stimulus bill priority when 0 first got into office instead of Obamacare. Now, they have infighting that is tearing them apart. I also expect to see a greater number of blue dog dims to switch parties.

Ain’t gonna happen.

The RINOs will always have enough seats to guarantee a working Democrat majority, with the likes of McCain, Snowe, Graham, and Collins in the mix. They will always be there to support Democrats on cap and tax, amnesty, judges.

It would take a Republican majority of 64 Senate seats to come up with a veto-proof majority. That has never happened in recent history.

Now that that is solved, time for a vacation to rest up from being overworked.

The Dims don’t care whether or not they have the people’s votes in November ‘12 because they will cheat and lie to stay in power. Voter fraud and ACORN will keep the rats on top.

Overriding a presidential veto requires a 2/3 vote in the chamber of origin. If that happens, the bill is sent to the other chamber, and if a 2/3 vote is obtained there, the veto is overriden.

Both chambers have to have a 2/3 vote to override.

Might as well add Brown to that list. He voted for Masscare.

I predict a near 100 seat swing in the house. The largest party switch in History.

It's a lot easier to cheat when there are 468 races instead of one.
