O'Reilly's Culture Warriors: Tax Payers Should Foot The Bill For Sex Change Operations
RFFM.org ^ | February 13, 2010 | Daniel T. Zanoza

It's the perfect combination. Blonde bimbos, supposedly spouting a conservative message. At least that used to be the O'Reilly Factor (FOX News Channel) formula. I noticed it years ago, but my wife wouldn't let me write about it. Talk about being hen-pecked. And here's a question from my wife. She what's to know what's the deal with the sleeveless outfits being worn by the FOX News blondes in the middle of winter. Is it fashion sense? Or a lack of common sense? Perhaps I should get to the point because this isn't Vogue magazine, but she was just wondering.

Back to the Culture Warriors. I finally figured it out. The Culture Warriors are warring against our Judeo-Christian culture. The segment is point / counter-point, as viewers are led to believe. It's political correctness at its best or worst, depending on your point of view. A couple of weeks ago, the "Culture Warriors" and Bill O'Reilly told America it was time for homosexuals to be allowed to openly serve in the U.S. military. The premise is so ridiculous, President Barack Obama just might get his way and fulfill his campaign pledge to repeal "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" (DADT). If you're in the military, don't drop your soap in the shower. This may sound crude, but the absurdity of it all brings out the worst in me.

Earlier this week, allegedly pro-family conservative Gretchen Carlson and FOX News analyst Margaret Hoover--who are the Culture Warriors--told the country tax payers should pay for sex change operations. You see, some guy or girl decided to have an operation to change the gender they were born with back in 2001. The operation was a success, if you can call it that, and this individual had the brilliant idea of writing the surgery off on his taxes. He or she got away with it for a while, until the IRS caught on. Now there is a legal debate over whether this type of operation falls under the category of a medical necessity.

O'Reilly's Culture Warriors agreed that something called "identity crisis" is a legitimate psychological malady that, of course, can be corrected by surgery. But let me digress for just a moment, to see if I am understanding this properly. A man who believes he is a woman is something that's abnormal and tax payers should pay to fix the problem. However, men who want to have sex with men is not a psychological abnormality, but society should provide special rights for this group as well.

I'm confused, but that happens easily, in this time of political correctness, or dare we call it madness.

Therefore, this is how the Culture Warriors segment ended. O'Reilly looks at Carlson and Hoover and says the surgery was justified; essentially saying taxpayers should pay for it by allowing it to be tax deductible. I believe he or she wrote off $5,000 on their income tax return in 2001. Carlson and Hoover both answered O'Reilly's query by saying "yes."

Isn't that special? The Culture Warriors come through again and promote a counter-cultural agenda that shocks most reasonable Americans.

Slightly OT, but I wonder if people will wake up and realize that one of the main reasons that health insurance is so expensive is because insurers are forced to cover this crap.

I gave up watching BOR for about a year, and I just started watching it again. After watching Hoover and Kelly on BOR, I remember why I stopped watching. Why does he have Hill and Hoover on his show? Hoover, an offspring of Hurbet Hoover, is a radical feminist. I am soooo tired of feminists. They have gotten boring. It is the same old song over and over again. Hoover is no conservative. She is part of the country club, blue blood Republicans.

I’m still proud to say I’ve never watched the jerk for a whole show. I pegged him as a phony when he was local in NYC and was surprised when he got his own show.

Wasn’t BOR the role model for Ted Baxter? Or is it the other way around?

This just goes to show that BOR is more interested in HAVING a culture war than winning one side of it.

O’Reilly is an attention whore.

People who believe the Government in any way should pay to mutilate the genitals of the insane ,need a brain transplant.

To me Tattoo’s are mutilation ,but the government doesnt pay for it. Why should Government (taxpayers) pay for mutilation ?

Hoover is married to that homo from The Daily Beast. I think his name is Avlon.

He’s a real POS who has made a career of smearing social conservatives.

BOR is a phony. His image is a caracature of a what he thinks an “open minded” conservative should be. I think he is a typical big media liberal role playing a part that someone following the numbers discovered would attract an audience. He is as shallow as they come.

My favorite part of this segment was when BOR said something on the order of, he who is now a she. I was talking to my t.v.; no, Bill, he is still a he, check the DNA. You can't change it no matter what you do to the "naughty bits", or how many hormones you shove into your body.

If someone wants to do this, fine. But, don't ask me to pay for it. I once looked up Transgender Suicide Rates, and Teen Transgender Suicide Rates (yes, they do this stuff to teenagers), and the numbers are astonishing.

If any other surgery or drug had suicide rates this high, it would be banned. But, can't talk about that, it would mean I have a problem.

Carlson put her finger on it - its the damn doctors who vote this "Desire" to have a sex change operation as an official "Disorder". Once they do that, it makes its way into or onto a publication, the name of which escapes me, and after that 'it's official' and must be treated.

The conflict is obvious inasmuch as the doctors get to vote a disorder so that they can get paid for treating the dis-order.

These people are mentally ill, and should be pitied. They need our prayers, not mutilation.

However, let us not fall into the trap of thinking that a tax deduction is a subsidy; it is not. It’s merely allowing people to keep their own money.

I'm getting to the point where I've quit watching that part of his program. Two mouthy self avowed “feminist” talking at the same time and Bill chiming in on top is like walking into the hen house at egg laying time. And all they are spouting is their opinion. I'd rather watch Geraldo or Lamont Hill and I hate both of those guys.

Have you even been in a TV studio .. the lights are not only very bright, they’re AND HOT!!

I would imagine it’s a matter of staying cool and not being on-camera with sweat running down your face.
