This memo was obtained and forwarded to me from the Office of the Assistant to the Speaker. It was sent out earlier today by Doug Thornell.

As many of you have read, tomorrow, Tuesday, March 16, 2010, tens of thousands of conservative and Tea Party activists will be on the Hill as part of what they are dubbing a “Surge Against Obamacare.” Rick Scott, a multimillionaire investor and former hospital executive, is helping to lead the grassroots effort along with a number of other groups on the right like Dick Armey’s FreedomWorks. While many of you have met with outspoken activists in your districts in the past, we wanted to remind you of some of the best practices to review with your DC staff:

1. Be prepared. Activists are expected to begin arriving around 9am and they have been given instructions to wait in your office until they can have a meeting. Please have an orderly process and enough staff and interns to welcome what could be a very large number of visitors throughout the day: • Have staff and/or Member time set-aside to visit with attendees in small groups; • Ask for extra chairs or seating to be brought to your office or the hall in case there are seniors or disabled visitors that need to be accommodated; • Consider having some light snacks, H2O, and coffee available; • Ask visitors to leave all signs and banners outside

The fix is in. All the shady deals have been struck in the back rooms under the cover of darkness and secrecy. The communists have stuck it to the American people on this circle jerk. It’s on to the next battle.

Interesting memo. The reminder on how to treat constituents was useful, although one has to wonder why congresspersons would need training on this.

The talking points that defend the bill, however, p!ssed me off. Administrative dollars should advice congresspersons on crowd control, not on politics!

When I called Pelosi’s office, I found her staff arrogant, rude, condescending, and their disdain for the public was evident. Sounds like the Queen doesn’t it.

Could be a set-up if a huge crowd does not materialize, and frankly I don’t know how much dissemination of this event has occurred.

I do know this: in November, the first rally was a huge success - 25,000 persons. Three days later two of the freshman GOP congressman hastily called for another protest on the day of the House vote. The word did not get out, and the crowd was embarrassingly small. What I do know is that the second event hurt our efforts, so I hope thousands descend on DC tomorrow.

Shouldnot be a peaceful protest, and maybe won't be. They need to do lots of screaming and "Hell NO!" stuff. The 'rats and RINOpukes will be scrambling to warn media to play it down, don't cover it, etc.

Hate to sound so negative, but Dick Armey's presence in this is not encouraging. He has fought for amnesty & open borders for years.

We need to target specific politicians for tossing out of Congress - and then follow up with research on hitting them for criminal dealings

Go after all the democrats - but especially put resources towards certain ones

Dodd is toast - Reid needs to go now - Rangle is toast - Pelosi needs to go now

The good news is, that Pelosi recognizes the Tea Party. She’s not going to denigrate or resort to name-calling because it backfired before.

But, they are posting the facts. I think anything that can be done, is being done right here on the forum, plus emails sent out.
