Please listen to the podcast, "Threatened For Being Too Principled."
Call NRA Lobbyist Chris Rager, who is working Des Moines, on his cell at 703-282-5296 and email him at crager@nrahq.org and tell him to quite selling out gun owners in Iowa and stop his threats to the most pro-second amendment advocate in Iowa.
Also, please call Iowa State Rep. Clel Baulder, NRA Board of Directors, at 515-281-3221, and email him at Clel.Baudler@legis.state.ia.us, and tell him to quite working with the NRA to sell out gun owners.
Come on. What is the real story here?
Hard to believe...
Really?
Iowa Gun Owners is trying to pass a real right to carry bill in Iowa.
Currently, a county sheriff can deny you a concealed weapons permit for any reason...even if he doesn’t like you or your family.
Real right to carry would fix all of that.
The NRA, state rep. Clel Baudler, left-wing senate majority leader mike gronstal are working together to craft an exteemely watered down version of a supoosedly “pro-gun” bill that the governor, left-wing democrat chet culver would sign.
Don’t you see? Instead of standing on principle and supporting a group like Iowa Gun Owners, which is a few thousand strong and the most active in Iowa, they choose to compromise with leadership.
That’s wrong. It happens in state capitols all across the country. The NRA does not like second amendment competition, particularly when that competition wants to get government out of gun owners’ lives.
Read the post a couple of below your post. You need to understand that the NRA sells out gun owners by compromising with leadership and left-wing governors, like Chet Culver in Iowa.
They are giving left-wing democrats a bill that they can vote on and then run around the state saying, “look, I’m pro-gun.”
Awful. It’s the same old politics that we have gotten for so long man.
Do you research. Look into stuff. The NRA sells out local gun groups, especially.
This is an email I got from an Iowa Gun Owner:
Subject: HOW DARE THE NRA ATTACK STATE REPRESENTATIVE KENT SORENSON
FOR HIS STRONG SECOND AMENDMENT POSITION!!
Mr. Rager
Deace: Amazing - NRA Threatens Kent Sorenson!
Excuse me but . . . ARE YOU NUTS??!! . . . . I cannot begin to tell
you how outraged I am to hear that you, the NRA-ILA representative in
Iowa, have the audacity to threaten State Representative Kent Sorensen
by telling him that you would oppose him in a general election and
support instead ultra-liberal State Senator Staci Apel, ARGUABLY THE
MOST ANTI-GUN MEMBER OF THE IOWA LEGISATURE!
Representative Sorensen has utterly distinguished himself as being THE
voice of gun owners in Iowa . . . the most ardent and stalwart
defender of second amendment freedoms in the state, and you threaten
to support Staci Apel because he refuses to support your bill that
sells out Iowa gun owners to special interests and a statist
government, particularly when Representative Sorenson has presented a
good, CLEAN, solid bill defending our second amendment rights?
Mr. Rager . . . YOU AND THE NRA OUGHT TO BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES THAT
YOU WOULD PLACE POLITICS ABOVE PRINCIPLE AND IOWANS SECOND AMENDMENT
FREEDOMS. I guarantee you that the story of the NRAs underhanded and
despicable actions in attempting to undermine the pro-second amendment
rights movement in this state by attacking one of our most honored
leaders will be told far and wide.
And oh . . . by the way . . . please make sure to remove my name from
you calling list for donations . . . as long as the NRA in Iowa works
to hard AGAINST the recognition of my second amendment freedoms in
Iowa, I want nothing to do with your organization.
With disgust . .

If you find out ping me, I tried to google the story but couldn’t find anything that explained it.
