Punitive taxation of earned income which leaves unearned income and assets alone is not “wealth redistribution”, it is “wealth protection”. It kneecaps the middle class and prevents them from accumulating wealth, PROTECTING the wealthy from upstarts who would compete with them for status.
Mark Zuckerberg and Jeff Bezos probably have taxable incomes of $1 a year.
