Wow! This politico from Mississippi, one of the states in the area of the Gulf of Mexico compares this massive oil spill from this sunken off shore oil drilling rig to what else
..spilled chocolate milk. This is once again your government at work. What GROSS INCOMPETENCE! Welcome to Monday folks!

....Yep, OUT comes the accusation of the RACE CARD and RACISM.
Imagine the Chocolate Milk spill making it’s way to Chocolate City.
So, I guess this means the whole Gulf coast will soon be chocolate? That should make Mayor Nagin happy.
Well the real danger is if the oil actually makes it further inland it could cause states in the region to sink.
He would be quoted as stupid and laughs at for weeks by the lame stream media. But since it’s a donk shilling for their Obama-commie nothing.
One better, suppose Sarah Palin had said that, the entire lame stream media spill narrative wold have to be altered to get her.
Anything else?
OK ...
Keep in mind that with far offshore crude spills:
(0) Crude oil is not a uniform chemical compound. It contains a wide array of ‘stuff’.
(1) a great deal of the lower molecular weight/ aromatic hydrocarbons in the ‘spill’ will evaporate into the atmosphere.
(2) a good deal of the oil will emulsify and/or adhere to particulates in the water and not be much of an issue
(3) a good bit of the higher molecular weight hydrocarbons will form what look like tar balls that are gummy and DO interfere with human fishing ops and soil the beaches, but aren’t terribly hard on waterfowl.
(4) the longer the oil stays offshore the better.
(5) We need to cap the wellhead.
Ya gotta remember that with the Exxon Valdez, that oil spilled very close to shore and liquid raw crude coated everything. THAT was a disaster.
The information I don’t see in the news report is (a) how uniform is the coverage (is this a contiguous sheen/slick or is it broken up streaks across hundreds of square miles) and (b) how thick is the slick ( are we talking microns thick or a thick mucky cover on the surface of the water.)
We are being sold on a disaster. A disaster used to demonize an evil corporation and leverage a crisis.
Does this royally screw up the fishing/shrimping industry? Yes. Does it pose a THREAT to the tourism industry? Yes. Should we work REALLY hard to stop the leaks and clean it up? Yes.
But (aside from the tragic loss of life and the REAL cost to the fisheries economy) is this now a disaster? NO, not yet, and perhaps not ever.
This is NOT written in defense of any special interest. It is written to caution you from going along on the news media hype wagon.
p.s. I lived in Lafayette and Youngsville, LA for years, and while I didn’t work IN the oil patch, my friends were a part of it. We had lots of experience with ‘accidents’ spills and releases in the local waters.
Exactly! Why is it that retard democrats get away with everything?
There is a Democrat in the WH. Therefor everything is OK.
I give it a B+. Points taken away because I had to see Johnny Depp’s creepy mug and they don’t know the difference between the words “levy” and “levee”.
lame stream media is their parrot ... fortunately it's near dead now.
That quote was used 5/3/10 in Limbaugh’s broadcast and Rush explained it means that the massive leak will dissapate and be disolved by natural processes as it does with other oil seepages occuring in the the gulf.
He’s a gutless, fruity-looking anti-military punk. Even if he wasn’t there is no need for a dem in that seat anyway.
Because, no matter WHAT they're gibbering about, the leftist media screw it up.
Majorly.
And that's when they aren't actively lying.
This is really a cheap shot against Gene Taylor. Taylor just said the color of the water was that of chocolate milk. He didn’t say the oil spill was like chocolate milk.
Taylor is actually a very good guy . .why he is a Democrat I have no idea.
Someone who votes for Nancy Pelosi as Speaker is not a “very good guy.”
I am not sure he does. I think he abstains.
