Here is video of Fox News' Shepherd Smith attacking remarks by BP CEO Tony Hayward as "beyond snotty." He was referring to Hayward saying in a newspaper interview that BP would be prepared to pay for "all legitimate claims" associated with the Gulf Oil Spill. When asked to define "legitimate" by a London Newspaper, Hayward apparently said:
"I could give you lots of examples. This is America - come on. We're going to have lots of illegitimate claims. We all know that."
Well, actually Hayward is right, unfortunately. There will be "illegitimate claims." There are those who live by President Obama's philosophy that every crisis is an opportunity. Those who are harmed by the spill and can prove it should be compensated. But the fact that the CEO of BP is aware that the United States has become a very litigious society is not "snotty." It's just a sad reality.

Obama is proud of America being a litigious society, and I am embarrassed by the same fact. From either perspective, it’s an obvious truth. I wonder . . . is there a community organizer somewhere willing to sue Hayward and BP for hurting our feelings by mentioning this sad fact?

I saw this and it was outrageous. Shep stood up, lifted his skirt and took his panties off and threw them at him.! Then Shep lifted his blouse, pursed his ruby red lips and exposed his breasts in an act of defiance. It was magnificent theater! Thanks Shep! Great show!

Shep has a 7 million dollar a year contract with FoxNews. Whom is snottier Shepherd Smith or the BP CEO? Shep was married at one time, the issue of his divorce is sealed. The snot is Shepherd Smith. BP CEO may have made some mistakes with the desire to drill and bring oil and natural gas on a leased oil rig. The technolgy was in palce in case there was a problem. The technology failed. So BP is striving to achieve solutions, robots at 5000 feet below sea level failed to correct the technology, the ice forming at 5000 feet on the concrete and steel dome caused for a failure. And the other solution in place is the drilling of a new area that will allow the other leaking well to be closed off by general dynamics of pressure, however the solution takes 3 months to achieve. Gee, Shepherd Smith why do you not stick to reporting on a bear falling from trees and landing and bouncing off a trampoline. Also go back to college and get your degree in broadcasting journalism. maybe they can teach you something about dealing with being an arrogant SOB.
Anybody with half a brain knows that this is a litigious society. BP is just the corporate demon for this week. We need a new one about once a week.
People need to wake up and see that the Obama administration is basically at war with corporations. Private enterprise is evil. Only government-run agencies have the power to create a utopian society. That’s the ticket.
