Democrats wanting to reshape the military into a more mutlti-cultural, sexual/gender liberating experiment to promote buggery is just one more reason why they cannot be trusted for anything from spending money to health care to reconstructing our armed forces.
Contact Congress and let them know that Obama is on the wrong track again with his sucking up to the gay lobby, not for enhancing military effectiveness, but quite the opposite.
Here's my short fax to Congress and the Prez. Yes, its IN CAPS FOR EFFECT.
DEAR Senator/Representative XYZ;
I CANNOT OVERLY EXPRESS HOW HARMFUL I BELIEVE YOUR REJECTING THE 'DON'T ASK, DON'T TELL' POLICY IN FAVOR OF A 'FLAUNT IT' POLICY WILL BE ON MILITARY COHESIVENESS.
I WITNESSED THE LAPSE IN MORALE IN VIETNAM WHILE SERVING IN THE MARINE CORPS WHEN IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT SOME MARINES WERE INVOLVED IN WHAT WAS ONCE CALLED BUGGERY.
ARE YOU REALLY WANTING TO SUPPORT A MORE 'MULTI-CULTURAL' AND 'DIVERSE' MILITARY AT THE SAKE OF LOSING THE UNIFORMITY OF PURPOSE AND UNIT COHESION? IT HAS BEEN PROVEN OVER AND OVER THAT EVEN THE INTRUSION OF MORE WOMEN INTO CLOSE QUARTERS WITH MEN, IN WAR ZONES, HAS PRODUCED THE ADDED CONFLICT FOR MILITARY MARRIAGES, BECAUSE OF JEALOUSY, UNWED MOTHERHOOD, ADULTERY AND DIVORCE, AND WE ARE THINKING OF COHABITING MEN-ATTRACTED-TO-MEN INTO SUCH CLOSE CONFINES IN TODAY'S MILITARY?
EXPECT A PLETHORA OF LAWSUITS FOR HARASSMENT.
NOT ONLY THIS, BUT THE FACT THAT IT COULD BE VERY DANGEROUS FOR KNOWN HOMOSEXUALS TO 'OUT' THEMSELVES IN THE PRESENCE OF YOUNG, MACHO, HETERO MEN ALREADY UNDER STRESS. FRAGGING WAS A REALITY, UNFORTUNATELY.
PLEASE, DON'T SUBJECT THE VAST MAJORITY OF MEN AND WOMEN TO SUCH SOCIAL REENGINEERING FOR THE SAKE OF INDIVIDULAlSM.
It will be interesting to see whether there is any way politically this can be stopped.

Gee, just finished my mandatory “DoD Homosexual Policy Training for JA, CC and Somebody Else” training. Frankly, not a whole lot has changed as far as I can see.
