That’s good. :)
Dave Weinbaum has a neat radio program every Friday morning on KTTR in Rolla. Very enjoyable.
It’s truly amazing that the generation that was born of women who smoked and drank during pregnancy, who didn’t have bicycle helmets and ate foods that would give an instant stroke to a modern man is living long enough to drive Social Security into bankruptcy. Makes you wonder what all the fuss is about.
There’s something sexy about that ad!
It’ll never catch on. ;^)
I was laughing at the beer and cigarette ads using babies. My mother gave me a baby book she had from the 40s written by a doctor and it was a hoot. I remember the good doctor said breastfeeding moms needed to have a cigarette and a beer before or while nursing so they would relax and let down their milk. Also his remedy for not losing your temper with a house full of kids was when you had a tedious task like ironing that would make you cranky you should drink beer while you iron. Ha, my mom followed that advice. I can still picture her ironing a huge pile of clothes with her sprinkle bottle, her bottle of cold beer, and her ashtray on the ironing board.
Maybe beer and cigarettes for moms helped prevent child abuse when women had a new baby every year or so. Of course the discipline we had is definately considered child abuse now.
No kidding. We also played outside all day mostly unsupervised. I grew up on a ranch and we were turned loose with firearms and horses at a young age and still survived. No seat belts, left in cars, driving at 13, dangerous toys, lead paint, asbestous- you name it. If something did happen it was considered a tragic accident and no ones fault.
I dated a few who would not find it hot but not kinky at all ;)
*snork*
Reading this made me wonder: Moms smoking and drinking while pregnant = today’s tree hugging pot smoking folks in Disneyland East.
Well, it IS just a theory!
Classic, I think Barney actually died of lung cancer too
