I voted DeVore, knowing that Carly would probably win.
The way I see it, we had an A candidate, a B candidate, and a D candidate.
The B candidate won. I’ll take a B.

I also agree that making fun of someones hair who has lost it to chemo is incredibly classless.

By being Republicans, giving the control of the Senate over to the Republicans, and giving guys like Bunning, DeMint, and Kyl senior positions and committee chairmanships.
The real power of the Senate is not on the floor; it is in committee. That is where the party in control - even if just by one vote - can stop any legislation from even coming to vote. You might not get to pass what you want, but you can definitely stop what you don't want.
So yeah, Snowe and Collins help a lot, when we're looking for control of the Senate. They allow real conservatives to take positions of power and stop the Democrat agenda.
As far as Carly goes, from what little I know, I wish someone like her would run against one of our Michigan senators, I'd take her in a heartbeat instead of them.
I hope most the California conservatives don't sit it out, there are more than a few here that claim they want to. I'm sure Babs want them too.

I never realized till today that Sarah whom I support is actually being very Machiavellian.
She’s expanding her base from just Social Conservative Pitbull Mom...when she runs she will can rightly claim that she does at times support moderates...I’m not crazy about that and even though her endorsements are very very very effective for whom she picks in primaries...and may help her win the nomination....it’s dimmed her shine for me from the pure zeal I once had. I believed her when she said we run as and support conservatives first.

Sorry, I was thinking about the comment from Carly about Palin being “unqualified to run a company” after Palin got the VP slot. It was pure petty jealousy from Carly and despite that, Sarah endorsed her.
The McCain camp shut Carly up after that breach.

You'll have to ask them what was in their minds ... :-) but I do know that it was "also" repeatedly told on countless threads what the situation was ...
