Did Al Gore sexually attack a licensed massage therapist in Portland in 2006? I don't know. But I believe this story has legs.
I'm a licensed therapist myself, though of the psychological kind. In my twenty-plus years in practice, I have never seen a woman who I believed was lying about sexual abuse.
Now, this isn't saying that females don't lie. Teenager Tawana Brawley was aided and abetted by Al Sharpton in her hoax about gang rape by white males. A stripper apparently lied about being raped by students at Duke. And my middle-class clients don't resemble Tawana.
There are also some oddities in the woman's police report. For one, she showed a definite lack of sophistication and brain power. When she wants to have a bathroom break, she announces, "I have to pee." She curses at times, and also disses her coworkers in the massage trade.
But unrefined women can be sexually attacked. Women who've been around the block a few times are perfect prey. They have more dirty laundry to be exposed should they tell.
People are asking why this masseuse followed through with the police report three years later, in 2009. It's hard to know her motivations. But the story she recounts is compelling.

I think she has a good point here. They have had incredible power over the last few years since they got the Congressional majority, and now that they have all of the high offices in the land, they're completely drunk on it. Plus they know that anything they do will be excused, ignored or even "disappeared" by the press.
The press has no interest in protecting Al’s character.
They have enough to do to keep the present dems in office out of jail.
Accusations of rape are the most common false accusation. That is well known. It may be a little different when a woman comes to a therapist.

The useful fools among the liberals don't understand how far things go and how quickly when men gain unchecked power. Our Constitution setting out limited government protects our daughters and wives from this sort of abuse. Remember the Roman emperor that insisted on taking the bride of a noble on her wedding night (good old Caligula? Or the right of Droit de seigneur of the nobles in Scotland over their serfs? Some pollyanna's will scoff at the extremes until it is too late to stop them. We don't have Constitutional protection anymore the way it is interpreted. We are left with only tradition and a vote manipulated by propaganda and probably by out and out fraud.
The woman apparently did report this to friends and even to the police just after it happened. However, she didn’t go through with formal charges; I don’t know what has happened now to make her reconsider this. Maybe she’s fallen out of love with the Dems (it said she had voted for Al & Co.) and doesn’t feel any need to protect Al anymore.
I think we can be a little more declarative than that, can't we Robin?
With a Democrat governor in WVa, Byrd’s departure should actually add to the ‘Rat majority over the short run.
We’ll have to see what state law provides for special elections, etc., and what the timetable will be.
Fox is reporting that the Dem gov will appoint a replacement who will serve out Byrd’s term until 2012. no special election.
I don’t doubt for a minute that Gore is a predator. But, come on, this author has never known of a woman lying about sexual assault. Does “Duke lacrosse” not ring a bell?

Yes, I know a big rat gets replaced by a little rat in the short term, but as a former West Virginian with kin in the Mountain State, I know of the anger mountain folk have for the rat party that intends to end W.Va.’s biggest source of revenue - the coal mining industry.

I doubt that Robin is visited very often by alleged rape victims who have already gotten mixed up with corrupt DA’s or demagogues like Fat Albert.
Al Gore as anything creepy and disgusting is believable.
Much as I enjoy Robin of Berkely, I tend to be against long range psychiatric diagnosis.
Both Tawana Brawley and the Duke lacrosse team broad were lying...but were immediately taken up by the media and the left and their stories took on a life of their own. In both cases, their lies had to do with their own personal lives. In the case of Brawley, to cover up the fact that she had been out all night, because apparently her step-father was very strict, and in the case of the Duke stripper, it was a lie for her pimp to explain why she hadn’t made much money that night. Neither one of them obviously expected things to go where they did, and when the stories took off, thanks to the press and people like Sharpton and Nifong, they had to stick by their stories.
IIRC, the Duke hooker actually tried to change her story early on, saying she “wasn’t sure,” “she didn’t really remember,” etc. But it was too late then; nobody was interested in the truth of the story, and the press was already in full cry after the white rapists who so foully abused this innocent black woman, yada, yada.
