I agree, both on the spin and the "sell". Watching that video I referred to, the citizens who were featured, and who live with this daily, state unequivocally that the "breed" of illegal coming across the border today is much removed from the typical wannabe migrant worker.

Today, they're seeing a much more advanced, political incursion. These people are coming across with a purpose, and it's not employment. And that's because the cartels have gained control over the operation. This has truly become an invasion.

The media can spin all they want. Videos such as this tell the true story. And that story belies how safe the administration wants us silly poop heads to believe it is. It also is a heads up to what we can expect from these invaders.

If he is killed, then the Federal Government has “officially” failed to “...protect them from invasion...” and its time to bring the all NG home to the job the Feds won’t.

Which would be the job of governor Brewer (since the feds have failed to act). There are a lot of dynamics at play here. SB 1070 to begin with. The administration's lawsuit against that bill yet inaction to fulfill its obligation to border security. A threat to a prominent county official. The State of Arizona sovereignty issue.

If something does happen to this officer (I pray it doesn't), it will be a catalyst. of what remains to be seen...

... I seriously doubt the cartels are stupid enough to order the assassination of an American LEO.

They are stupid enough. Consider US news from the eyes of an outsider. They see us as WEAK. Now is the time to strike us, now is the time to extract all the pain they can from us because they will never get another chance at all the cheap shots they can take.

Not that “unfamaliar” with La Familia “La Eme”. I believe their sign is both hands about mid-chest with the last three digits pointing down, on each hand, and both hands almost touching at base of the thumbs. I am no gang expert by any means, but I have been at the park near our house and have observed a few different fellows meet and greet each other.
