Judging by the number of assassinations, including those of government officials, in Mexico over the past year or two, I'd have to say their methods don't follow your logic. To a analytical mind, you'd be right. But that's not how they operate. They're scum, and act it out.
Perhaps they didn’t find a sheriff they could bribe and they feel that O and his Justice Dept minions would “look the other way”. I pray for this man and his family and hope that he has security. The left doesn’t want to admit that we have lost control of our border states and the good citizens of those states are left swinging in the wind. I never thought in my life that I would see an American, especially an American law enforcement officer, threatened and have the government ignore it. Sad, sad, sad.

They are stupid enough. Consider US news from the eyes of an outsider. They see us as WEAK. Now is the time to strike us, now is the time to extract all the pain they can from us because they will never get another chance at all the cheap shots they can take.
