Thank you for the list. It took quite an effort to produce. Thank you even more for the reference list. I’m a big fan of facts and evidence.

JimRob posted his thoughts on returning to a Constitutional government last year sometime. I think it was before the big Tea Party march on D.C. If I can find it, I’ll link to it. He had some great thoughts. Of course the liberal media flipped out about it.

You’re welcome and so is everyone else who has posted a “thank-you.” I thought is was important to document how/where I confirmed their participation in JournoList. I’m not a journalist. I’m a programmer and DBA, but I know that confirmed sources are important to journalists - real journalists anyway.

Exactly. There were supposedly 400 or more members of JournoList. I’m interested to see who else participated in those discussions.

No way did it ‘pop up’ from nothing so fast. There must be both predecessor and alternative lists/hang outs.

Do you remember this secret meeting of journalists with John Kerry at Al Franken's apartment in 2004?

Of course this stuff has been going on before. I predict it's been going on since George Bush "stole" the 2000 election.

I think it started, in internet form, when Clinton took office. It think it was a creation of Hillary’s War Room.

I agree with you and others calling for Carlson to release the archives in their entirety. By not doing so he’s giving cover to those on the list who are hiding behind a well worn out and overused “out of context” excuse.

Thank you for putting this list together and keeping us updated.

I don’t think Carlson has the complete archive but Ezra Klein does.

You're right. I remember the Clinton administration putting out a "report" showing (with flowcharts) how the right-wing purports to make news by first seeding outlier sites with stories, and then having those stories picked up by the networks, thereby putting the "news" into the mainstream without the MSM dirtying themselves by reporting the stories first.

Of course, this was the typical liberal behavior of projecting onto the Right what they themselves are doing.

I wish I can find that report, but I'm not using the right search terms.

Many thanks for posting your 122 names. I put out a request for names, and have now downloaded three postings. I hope to be one of several people ready to pounce when/if the wayward children and corrupt adults of Journolist lift their heads out of where they keep them to lie again.

The 1992 Clinton War Room was the genesis of the later Media Matters and such Soros-funded entities. See Byron York’s “The vast left wing conspiracy” Chapter 7: http://books.google.com/books?id=hYu4NTKo2DwC&pg=PT105&lpg=PT105#v=onepage&q&f=false

Oh, I know all about the Clinton War Room.

Also see this: Controlling the Agenda in Government: How Clinton did it (Jan-01 leaked memo to Tony Blair), from 2001.

The original Clinton War Room operated out of Little Rock Arkansas during his run for President. The War Room that birthed the ‘vast left wing conspiracy’ was the one established in the White House in early June 1993 to orchestrate and drive the media cycle pro-Clinton, and also to suppress anti-Clinton stories.

Which they did very well! But then Hollywood gift-shop employee Matt Drudge posted on alt.sex.stories: “hello from sex drenched Hollywood”, date 28 December 1994, and from there moved onward ....

Matt started offering a gossip newsletter to the general public in March 1995, and Clinton rumor content in it appeared as early as a week later.

Source for Drudge history: http://www.soundbitten.com/020110.html

The Internet USENET was a lively backchannel but public source of Clinton stories in those years of 1994 thru 1998. I can speak as a participant on some of those ALT groups like ‘Whitewater’.

Even on the wild wide open USENET then it was clear a somewhat coordinated disinformation group operated some of them calling themselves ‘weasels’. They clogged and jammed the USENET channel fairly effectively by 1997. That’s why Free Republic was so great as a forum of refuge.

Drudge opened a website in 1997, and broke the Monica tale in 1998. DRUDGE WAS NOT AN OUTLET MANAGED BY THE WAR ROOM (imo).

I first posted at FR via a link thru Drudge, my first post was in support of Linda Tripp.

Thank you BT!

Is it possible to note the new additions to the J’list, for those of us trying to track J’list news manipulations?

Much appreciated.
