Hate to say it, but didn't think it was that bad. How many of us had the same reaction to the Palin children names when we first heard them?

Still, Katie is a bitter old hag heading down the Helen Thomas path. Anything that makes her look bad is good.

There's nothing whatsoever wrong with Sarah's children's names. They fall into the category of Antipedobaptist Nomenclature ~ and clearly reflect the sort of newness you get in a real frontier environment.

In a world where the most common boys' names are Mohammad, Omar, John and William Trak and Trig are refreshing and charming.

I think Barack is a pretty weird name, a lot wierder than trig. It sounds like a constipated parrot.

“...Hate to say it, but didn’t think it was that bad.”

I thought so too at first. But after reading the accompanying article the point they are making is that Katie and CBS (and all other media) diminished Sarah Palin’s significant accomplishments by reducing her to a moose-eating beauty queen who is anti-abortion and named her kids weird names. They completly overlooked her career accomplishments and immediately turned her into a cartoon figure. Unintentionally, of course. wink wink
