He doesn’t eat ice cream. His daughter said so. Says everybody should eat ice cream. But Dad doesn’t. Many Muslims don’t eat ice cream because it may not be halal.

Every time the guy leaves the WH he has an ice cream cone stuffed in his mouth.

Ha! Gotcha! I was only half kidding. There are places that make halal ice cream, with no pork products or alcohol. I said some Muslims don’t eat it.

It’s absolutely true that during the campaign the little one blurted out during one infamous interview that “he” doesn’t eat ice cream. She seemed quite mystified by it, adding something like “EVERYBODY should like ice cream!” Dad got a frown on his face and cut the interview short. No more candid child interviews after that.

I’m sure he’s learned by now to make a SHOW of eating ice cream, because it became an issue in the campaign.

Besides which, as I said, there are halal manufacturers, and surely imams give dispensations, in the case of necessary acts of taquiyya. The greater good, you see.
