I found it pretty shocking that the Time column on their own poll stated that 25% of American's incorrectly identified Obamosque as a Muslim. As if it was a incontrovertible fact. He says he is a Christian.

The only "fact" that you can be sure about with Obama is that he will claim to be whatever he thinks is most politically advantageous for him to claim to be until the political winds change the next morning. Then he will claim something else.

My gut feeling is that Obama is an atheist, like his mother.

Obama used his attendance at Jeremiah Wright's racist church to build up his local Chicago political position. When that no longer served his nationwide political purposes, he threw Wright under the bus.

In regards to being a "Muslim", as an atheist, Obama is no more Muslim than he is Christian in religious terms but he is probably a "cultural Muslim" and more sympathetic to the Muslim world than he is to Christian Middle America or to religious Jews.

Agree. If Clinton was the first "black" President in the sense that he was extraordinarily sympathetic to the black community then Obama is the first "Muslim" president. And hopefully the last...
