Progressives need a positive vision upon how to improve the country.

Oops. Mask slipped there a little there. Your the "center left", remember. Not progressives. What, are you trying to blow it?

They need to demonstrate how Democratic policies have helped to avert a greater catastrophe and spurred economic recovery.

Yea, because that is just so obvious to everybody. Just think of all the school diversity czars that would be on the street today otherwise.

Obama did large rallies before Glenn Beck made them cool. The president cannot retreat into low profile, staged events.

Yea, that's what the president needs: A major rally, where 37 union members agree to be bussed in, and thousands of Tea Partiers surround the place.

I went there expecting to attend a Methodist school in the south. Yeah, right.

The communist athiests are very smart. They understand that the churches have vast power over people and opinion. So... they infiltrated the churches and rotted them from within. Harvard was a Congregational seminary at one time. Very conservative. Now... a communist factory. An education from Harvard is worthless. The connections in "The Establishment...priceless."

Yeh, well, at 19 I still thought my Dad was dumb and my Drill Sergeant didn’t know what he was shouting about. I got better.

FWIW, he is saying that it “only led to...after an exhaustive debate”. In other words, they had to fight to get those things; they couldn’t just enact them straight out. He isn’t belittling the scope of that legislation in this case (though he does later).

Another budding DNC talking points parrot of the joys of Islam, amnesty and CommieCare. He is a typical college moron screaming for Marx.

The one thing I noticed from the more vocal College libs I met (I graduated this May) was that they are dumb. Most of the ones who would want to talk to you begging you so sign a petition or to tell you how your destroying the planet, etc. got their talking points from someone else. If you challenged them, they couldn't easily respond without sounding like BHO off prompter.

At my school it was often MassPIRG. One time they were begging for signatures demanding that the government fund high-speed rail among several other issues. I sat down at a table near them and listened. I noted the phrases they used and Google them. Almost every one came back to MassPIRG or some similar or affiliated group. I found some “references” to back of their “facts,” however most were had none.

I asked them about this. They studdred back, “Well, I don't know about the specifics of what you are saying, but We are asking that you stand w/ us to protect the environment.” I replied, “I would be glad to sign, but before I sign this, (they wanted name/email/phone) I would want to know that what you are saying is true and will help the environment. However, even the organization you represent does not back up these statement with 3rd party references in most cases.” After that they refused to talk to me. Though, several people watching walked off after that and didn't sign

Or use more straw man rhetorical flourishes, “Some people say we should give Wall Street fatcats everything they want...” That oughta work.

Perhaps he’ll sprout a brain in two years while living in his parents basement wondering why he can’t find the cushy job that is his progressive birthright. <<

Unfortunately, living in the basement just drives their ideology further to the left..they become “victims”

in talking to a few of the basement dwellers, I'm discovering they resent Obama...The utopia they envisioned with their vote is not happening for them...Hence they have to blame someone for their failure...

Their self esteem has not been hurt....They are still waiting for their genius and intellect to be discovered and magically be thrust to the top.... (interesting side note:...their consumption of pot has increased )
