I doubt if there’s a ton of stockbrokers, salespeople, loan officers, business owners, etc flocking to places that serve Wagyu steaks, lobster and caviar like they were in 2005. So of course prices will come down, unless the Chinese or Indians get a hankerin’ for luxury foods.

I suspect the White House demand for such luxury foods is up significantly—but maybe not enough to affect overall market prices.
