I have a gun, a wad of cash, and sometimes a wad of express checks. not very interesting. I demand a receipt. I pay cash, and I tell them to use my driver’s license if they require a credit card number for their “files”. If they won’t accept that, i tell them I’m paying cold cash and i will move on down the road where cash is still good if they insist. Usually they change their minds unless it’s a fancy chain hotel where the counter girl is a minimum wage employee.
