I recently read a posting on another blog by a woman who had some trepidation with the thought of marriage. Its a meaty topic to be sure, and one Id not be able to easily or quickly delve into, but I think its worth mentioning here at least a little.
Certainly not everyone who gets married is a Christian, and statistics and studies have shown that divorce rates are astronomically high specifically in the U.S. irrespective of religious belief or non-belief. That said, while I try to be even-handed in most of my approaches, this, like many of my positions is solidly on one side. Two non-believers or a believer and a non-believer may be able to have a long, lasting marriage, but that doesnt mean that its neither the optimal arraignment nor what it could be.
Something I keep coming back to again and again is the phrase, perspective and priorities. I believe that without a proper perspective and prioritization in and of your life, you will never have real, lasting peace or harmony in your life. This isnt some sort of Zen thing far from it. The proper perspective and prioritization of your life begins with Christ as the center and Lord of your life. Everything flows from there, from Him. This includes marriage, more so because a good marriage has Christ in it, a spiritual/figurative third partner. ...

People actually READ that stuff? Good Lord WHY?
For some, is just best to "Don't do that".
