The Law Firm of Puckett & Faraj, PC, is preparing the defense of LTC Lakin for trial currently scheduled for December 14, 2010 at Fort Meade, MD. LTC Lakin is being charged with missing movement, disobeying orders to report to a new unit, disobeying orders to report to his brigade commander and dereliction of duty.
His previous civilian attorney complicated his case and is partially responsible for two of these charges by advising LTC Lakin to refuse to report to his superior officer.
The defense team is now working to minimize the damage caused by this inappropriate legal advice and return LTC Lakin to his family quickly and with his medical career intact.
The trial is expected to last 2 days at Fort Meade beginning on December 14, 2010.

I’m glad to hear that. It appears that he is finally retained competent counsel who is acting in the best interests of his client and is not using him as political fodder. I wish LTC Lakin the best and I hope he emerges from this with a chance to get his life back on course.

Those prior rulings were that Obama's eligibility isn't relevant to the charges against Lakin, because the orders he disobeyed didn't come from Obama directly. The new lawyer is saying, in nicer words, that Lakin never should have listened to the Birthers who told him to disobey orders so they could get a court test of Obama's eligibility.
This might give him and the government an out.

Lakin is a true American hero. We must start an organized prayer movement for him. We must fast and pray. The battle belongs to The LORD.
I am not certain of that at all. All I know is that LTC Lakin's new lawyer is claiming that "[h]is previous civilian attorney complicated his case and is partially responsible for two of these charges by advising LTC Lakin to refuse to report to his superior officer." So the new lawyer's defense is going to be that LTC Lakin didn't really want to miss movement but was misled by those rascally Birthers. (N.B.: I am not calling anyone a "rascally Birther"; that is my paraphrase of the new lawyer's statement.)
Given the military judge's rulings, Lakin has really only two choices now-- face a certain conviction and an almost equally certain stiff sentence, and hope for a win on appeal, or blame his prior advisors and throw himself on the mercy of the court. It looks like he has chosen door #2.
so then, Latkin is held accountable however the usurper in the white house doesn’t have to prove he is deserving of holding the office.

Never ever say that Lakin disobeyed orders unlawfully. He has done NO SUCH THING. Orders to deploy to a war zone are a direct result from orders from the USURPER HIMSELF. And those orders were UNLAWFUL twofold as Congress did not declare war against the nation its fighting.
This case is now tanked, no thanks to self-serving nitwit “attorneys”.
