Kathleen Parker Revisits Sarah Palin and Media Bias With Dan Abrams
Mediaite ^ | November 13, 2010 | Frances Martel

Posted on 11/13/2010 8:04:58 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

After asserting that she “led” the charge against Sarah Palin in 2008 the day before, Kathleen Parker revisited her comments and the greater media bias against Palin last night, adding a few revisions. For one, she didn’t really lead the charge against Palin– “the liberal media” did– and did treat Palin, in some instances, “cruelly, and partly because she’s a woman.”

She and co-host Eliot Spitzer further explored the relationship between Palin and the media with Mediaite founder Dan Abrams.

Parker modified her earlier statement about “leading” the assassination, toning it down to being the first on the right after Palin’s damning interview with Katie Couric to question her qualifications. Spitzer jokingly suggested that Parker “enjoyed every minute” of being a contrarian voice on the right, something Parker argued was nearly impossible to do, and didn’t make the opportunity fun: “When you’re a Republican, you’re never supposed to say anything negative about another Republican, or else you will be banished into darkness.”

That’s not to say that Parker believes Republicans are all happy about Palin’s status in the party. Speaking later to Abrams, she argues that “the fact that she’s becoming the voice of the Republican Party has driven many Republicans crazy.” Discussing her relationship with the media, Abrams argues that, in 2008, being a fresh face from one of the most far-flung parts of the nation gave Palin “a real opportunity to become a media darling,” one she has forsaken in part because one of her strongest messages is that the media are worthy of scorn. In response to Spitzer’s claim that it was not the media, but the fact that Palin “touched a nerve” with Americans, Abrams argues that it is precisely her relationship with the media that reaches Americans: “One of the most important things that Sarah Palin is saying that is touching a nerve, that’s getting people to really support her is this idea of using the media as a villain.”

So Client #9 has a better handle on the Palin phenomenon than the so-called "conservative columnist" Kathleen Parker? Not surprising, really, since he's stood for election and she never has.

She just couldn’t help herself. She had to jump on the “hate Palin” band wagon. All 18 mental midget viewers jumped up and down with joy.....

Parker reads Free Republic ~ and she didn't like our take on what she was saying ~ particularly about her accepting responsibility, as the leader, for the mindless attack on the Palin children.

But she stepped into that herself ~ and up until the point we were pointing out what would be a suitible punishment for someone that barbaric and cruel, she most likely was totally oblivious to how her attack was affecting the babies.

She may be more conscious of what we think of her today, but she's still a fascist pig.

CNN has mysterious ways. Who would have thought when they first tapped the notorious Client no.9 for a show, they would manage to pair him with a far more loathesome cretin, making him seem comparatively decent?

No one cares Parker. LastI heard you were setting records for bottom cellar ratings. I can only assume the mention of Palin is to try and drum up interest in your show.

Sorry baby, once it's out of the bag you can't put it back in and pretend it doesn't exist.
Parker is a female dog type who is out to undermine Conservatives and their political standing, pure and simple.

KP's disdain for SP never made any sense other than KP simply loathing another woman. KP has argued pro conservative positions often enough to be justifiably referred to as a conservative.

It may be that some pretty women, or just women, don't like other pretty women, or just women.

ROFL.

Truly, aside from libtards and haters, who the heck would watch a snarky female who’s not a household name, rant about Sarah Palin or any other topic?

I wouldn’t know Kathleen Parker if she were sitting next to me and I’m not about to flick to cnn to see her face.

I’d say she’s “nothing” but she’s something all right -— a swill-diver to co-host with Client #9.

Oh.

Well, I didn’t read this article.

I truly find Kathleen Parker boring and a pathetic wannabe player in sorry world of journ0lists trying to destroy Sarah Palin.

Pathetic haters that can’t produce a fair product and I find that horrid practice anti-American, unAmericans too.

Their entire scheme was (is) all about trying to make sure that Sarah Palin is not the first woman president.

To them, *that glass ceiling* has to be reserved for an Alinsky-follower, like Hillary, or at least a radical-left-wing-democrat.

Most people who are not in the media recognize today that the media is a villain. Palin doesn't have to use the media as a villain. She just has to speak out and let the depraved media types do their normal, despicable work.

kathleen parker’s a liar. The main instigating reason for parker to became emotionally unstable over SP and go on a crazed personal vendetta against Palin is that parker’s hubby told her that he thought SP was more sexually desirable than kathleen. Parker incredibly wrote a column about it, describing how she asked him. She first criticized Palin and said she should drop out and let mitt romney take her place after the Hannity interview, and before the couric interview.

Good let them flame on , they can sit on their old flabby asses and have a bitch fest while Palin rakes in million with a show people will actually watch .

I am so impressed with Parker’s success. She gets to sit next to a whoremongering disgraced ex governor while Sarah Palin makes millions of dollars just being herself and refusing to be defined by the msm.

I don’t know which is more fatuous, claiming Parker is conservative or giving her a show.
