Nudists Say No to Scanners

People who run around naked at a Palm Springs resort reject the notion of body scanners at the airport. To date, Palm Springs International Airport doesn’t actually have any body scanners, but the nudist community has weighed in.

"It’s an invasion of privacy,’ Michael Patrick Williams, general manager of The Desert Sun Resort, told City News Service. ‘Naturists aren’t really different from anyone else.’"

Of course, “naturists” are exactly like the rest of us, except for the part about wandering around naked amid a bunch of strangers.

"‘We protect our guests’ privacy’, Williams said. ‘Naturists have as much right to privacy as anyone else.’"

It’s one thing to choose that lifestyle, another to be forced to line up, concentration camp-style, without belts, shoes, jewelry, etc. And now on top of it to be exposed and videotaped for perpetuity. Or molested if you don’t like the first choice.

So if one is a nudist muslim they are pretty much guaranteed not to be subject to a very public Kodak moment followed by groping.....

If a “Right to Privacy” allows abortions, then certainly the same “Right to Privacy” limits genital groping.

Well, I guess it’s about time they figured that actually wearing some clothes might be a good idea. (sarc)

I wish they’d all go out to the airport and get naked.

For some reason, this story struck me as hysterically funny.

I didn’t go to the resort site. I thought the link was to the original article in the local pape?

It was just one of those stories that was too funny to ignore.
