Sometime Huffington Post Blogger Arrested on Incest Charge
Yes, But However! ^ | December 13, 2010 | John Romano

In April of 2009, Huffington Post blogger and Columbia professor David Epstein wrote an editorial entitled “It’s the Abuse of Trust, Stupid.” Ironically, the same Huffington Post blogger and Columbia professor was recently arrested for having sex with his 24 year old daughter.

Mr. Epstein’s editorials for the Huffington Post covered a wide range of topics from Dick Cheney and torture to Sarah Palin and the 2008 election cycle. His posts are full of leftist vitriol and sanctimonious drivel. He is a Columbia professor, after all.

Mr. Epstein’s articles are good for such biting rhetoric as “so when Dick (aptly named) Cheney…”

Salon.com rushed to offer a defense of sorts stating that, “the relationship in this case allegedly began after Epstein’s daughter reached the age of consent. It isn’t a clear-cut case of child abuse, and there are no allegations that the three-year-long relationship carried on without the daughter’s consent.” Leftists will do that for each other. Ask anyone at Salon.com what they think of hillbillies living in West Virginia. A joke about incest and inbreeding won’t be far from the surface.

However, when it comes to a Huffington Post blogger and Ivy League professor (Mr. Epstein also taught at Stanford and Harvard), bigger philosophical questions must be raised. He is a Columbia professor, after all. The fact that Salon.com didn’t automatically condemn Mr. Epstein’s alleged actions wholesale, in itself, speaks volumes about the web-rag. (Later Salon did admit grudgingly that a child will almost always be considered a “protected class” in issues dealing with parents.) Salon also left out the fact that Mr. Epstein is a Huffington Post contributor. Oh, imagine if he were on Sean Hannity’s Great Pompous, er I mean American Panel over at FOX….

I call on the Huffington Post to publicly end its relationship with Mr. Epstein. He hasn’t posted a piece in 14 months (Mr. Epstein’s Twitter feed goes silent as well around this time) at Arianna Huffington’s temple of doom and gloom. Let’s hope it stays that way.

Editor’s Note: To the Huffington Post’s credit they covered the story here.

They never fail to live up to the label “RAT”.

I’d like to kick this cat’s nards in.

I know that the story is that she's 24 and that the "relationship" existed for 3 years, even sum that this perp practiced seducing her when she was much young earlier, perhaps before puberty and only consummated when she was of age.

Relationships with adult family members can usually be traced back much longer to earlier inappropriate behavior that may or may not have involved intercourse.

This is the same guy who wrote a smug, sanctimonious blog registering the demise of Sarah Palin immediately after she stepped down from the governorship in Alaska in 2009.

He really was on the ball with that one. Yep—2009, that was the last anyone heard of Sarah Palin.

Maybe the sick slime pushed the Send button on that worthless smear job and went off to find his daughter and celebrate.

You have grown adults paying tens of thousands to send their kiddies to places like Columbia so they can “learn” from scum. Garbage in, garbage out.

Ah, yes! A Columbia professor who has never read or understood the implications of Sophocles’ “Oedipus Rex.” The American educational system at its very best.

I guess the proliferation and acceptance of sexual perversity is one of those signs of a society in irreversible decline. But it’s sickening all the same.
