Isn’t Progressive Caucus just “code” for Communist???
They're not newbies, they should know how this goes - the session starts out with a feel-good, popular bill that thrifty taxpayers will cheer. It passes the House overwhelmingly, and blazes to the Senate, where it is hailed by all except for a few minor details, which the Senate adds and sends back to the House. They tinker with it some more, then send it back to the Senate, who amends it and sends it...well, you get the idea. In the end, Congressional staffs/payrolls won't shrink at all, even though EVERYONE thought it was such a good idea!
