I can’t answer for Beck.

However I do know that the left is desperate for some right wing violence as a reason for a government crackdown. That means we’re winning as long as we keep the political pressure on.

Aren't they always desperate for that? SSDD. It's straight out of the handbook. Consider Hugo Chavez' crackdown in Venezuela.
The left, however, says the same thing when the right holds political office. Leftists usually wait until their side holds office thinking they'll get a pass for their violent actions.

Aaaaaanyway...at the rate things are going Americans will simply be worn down, spineless, chain wearing nubs.
I hope I die before I get old...

Glenn Beck: Fundamental Transformation
We cannot as a nation survive much longer. We must take a page from our own history at the Alamo and “draw a line in the sand.” We must decide who we are, what we are capable of and look to the heavens to chart our course. Do we return to the ideas of the past or do we continue West to the yet unrealized and unfulfilled promises laid out in our Founding ideals? We must choose as individuals and then put those choices into action. We must demonstrate to our children, neighbors and to ourselves that it is not policies or politicians but people that make this nation what it is for better or for worse.

The men at the Alamo used violence to take the chapel from the Mexicans. They didn't just talk. Drawing a line in the sand was a commitment to dying in bloody, deadly battle for the cause of freedom.
Beck shouldn't use such a metaphor if all he's going to do is talk his E4. While well intentioned that's, IMHO, just weak and does a disservice to the men who gave their lives in that battle!
