Did Obama Dye His Hair?

Obama looked damn good at last night's State Dinner for Chinese president Hu Jintao. Maybe a little too good. His salt-and-pepper locks seemed noticeably darker. Did Barack Obama get a quickie dye job?

Take a look at these pictures, one taken the morning of the State Dinner and one taken later that night, at the dinner itself. It appears that Obama dipped into the White House salon in between, wiping out all the the distinguished grey. The Daily Mail thinks he wanted to impress the world on his big night—but maybe he just did it for Barack.

Imagine Obama dying his hair! What's next, a nose job for Biden?

Scandal I tell you. My gosh!

What a stupid non-story. Oh the scandal every hairdresser in this country could reveal!

Ah, a person after my own heart. Is it worth the time to adjust the photo on he before and do another side by side?

I’m not up to it this morning. That was kinds of way of saying what are you doing today?

Here's what I get. I tried to match the skin tones as closely as possible but the second shot seems to be taken in a harsher light (flash perhaps?). If so, that would also contribute to the reflective quality of scalp and hair. I'm not seeing enough of a difference to indicate that Obama would bother to color his hair for two different looks in one day. I don't think he wouldn't color his hair if he thought it would help, but it seems more unlikely with him than with Clinton. Just my opinion, though.

The B/W version is just for another perspective without the distraction of color. Again, for me anyway, the slight change in angle and the difference in lighting can easily account for a change in contrasting values.

Wow, thanks. I’m inclined to agree with you. Actually, I did not need the visual confirmation. Like a lot of people that post on here, it is obvious you bring expertise. But thanks again.

You’re welcome. I was lazy and should’ve illustrated my opining in my first post anyway. : )
