“The Natural” is the only movie he ever made worth a damn anyway, IMHO, and I certainly don’t pay any attention to his bleeding heart elitism...so what he says matters not.
You didn’t like Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid? Or Three Days of the Condor? (The second was the typical Americans are the bad guys, but it kept you interested.)
The Natural was okay.
I liked him in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. I also liked The Sting, Jerimiah Johnson, The Great Waldo Pepper and The Candidate. The Hot Rock was pretty entertaining, too.
Before I learnt to hate "The Commie B***h", I also liked The Electric Horseman.
One of his better flicks of late was An Unfinished Life.
