I think such concern for deference and conciliation is altogether fine and good; but, again, do we recall the crazy years of not so long ago?

Of course the Democrats remember, but in their opinion, since the Republicans were in charge during that time, they were BAD, and if Democrats do the same thing, now, it's ok, because they're GOOD. /s
