It would be more sanitary to have these food on shelves. ;-)
I’ve heard that too. However, they can put the foods any place they want. It’s their store! It’s up to the individual to choose what they want to buy then go home and cook or bake it.
The perimeter of the store will always be healthier - produce-meat-dairy....grocery shelves on the inside aisles have packaged, frozen and processes items.
What I worry about with Walmart doing this scheme is Walmart holds the reigns of the manufacturers - if you want to be on their shelves you do what they tell you - alter products, etc. This trickles down to other stores with the same product mixes.
It was bad enough when Walmart ruled commodities - now it’s this darn Moose....
