We now know why the Obama Administration could not even bring themselves to mention Gaddafi by name and perhaps why Obama refuses to use the U.S. Navy, stranding Americans on a ferry in a Tripoli port on the coast of Libya.
Rev. Jeremiah Wright even went so far as to warn Obama before the election that if word of the 2004 trip to Tripoli every got out “his Jewish support will dry up quicker than a snowball in hell.”
Gaddafi said: “Now, ruling America is a black man from our continent, an African from Arab descent, from Muslim descent, and this is something we never imagined – that from Reagan we would get to Barakeh Obama.”
Maybe this is why Obama won’t use the U.S. Navy to evacuate U.S. Citizens, but China has their citizens out now and Americans are stranded.

IMHO Having ties to people funded by Gadaffi wouldn't rise to an impeachable offense, but it would be embarassing to the regime and it does explain a lot.
I trust the WND a little bit more than the other source, but WND has been a problem with one issue in particular, IMO. In this case though, the WND quote seems legit, as I vaguely recqll it from a whle back. Obama going to Libya? If that were true, it would have been fodder for years by now. Instead, some low-level blog, in order to get more hits, lies and distorts the (already sordid) truth. Like I said, there is so much to hammer Obama with already, including his ties to Wright and the NOI.

Unfortunately, a google search shows only that this particular “story” has replicated like wildfire on conservative websites. I could not find any credible evidence that any of this actually happened. No photos, no interviews with witnesses, no independent corroboration by any credible source, nothing.
Until I see some corroborating proof, I’m writing this off as fantasy.

Wright’s background is from Nation of Islam. And back in the Clinton years, Libya pledged one billion dollars to NOI. Seems they were barred from receiving the whole amount, but some of that money went towards the construction of that huge NOI headquarters.
