It is ironic that Obama is getting credit for bin Laden's death

Some liberals are trying to give all of the credit for the death of Osama bin Laden to Barack Obama and his enlightened leadership. But if we had fought the war on terrorism the way liberals wanted us to fight it, bin Laden would still be alive today and we wouldn’t have the first clue of how to find him.

The New York Times and MSNBC have confirmed that the nom de guerre of a key courier for bin Laden, “Abu Ahmed al-Kuwaiti,” was obtained by interrogating detainees held at Guantanamo Bay. If we had listened to the liberals, Guantanamo Bay would have been closed years ago.

One detainee was Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the true mastermind of the 9/11 attacks. In the past 12 to 15 years, the military leadership of al Qaeda passed out of the hands of bin Laden and into the hands of men like KSM and Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, an al Qaeda training camp commander in Afghanistan who relocated to Iraq and became the leader of al Qaeda in Iraq, the most deadly of the insurgent groups.

By the time he died, Osama bin laden was a spiritual and ideological leader, not a military commander. Because he was a prime target, he had isolated himself; and because he had isolated himself, it was impossible for him to be a military leader. He was only capable of sending out occasional inspirational videos and other messages via courier, often to be posted on the Internet.

The only credit is in the media. To thinking people across the country this is simply one more notch in the belt of W’s honorable war on terror.

McCain deserves to be ridiculed too. If McCain had been in charge, we would not have gotten any info either.

They just live in an alternate universe.

While they remain inside it, they are functional and happy. When they step out into the real world the normal, working people spot them as “useless idiots” right away, so they scurry back to the safety of their liberal cocoons before something terrible happens to them.

The only credit zero deserves is for NOT dismantaling the Bush/Cheney machine that made this possible. All zero had to do was to say “go.” And apparently it took 16 hours and some heavy duty arm twisting.

And I believe that NOT dismantaling the Bush/Cheney machine was an act of omission not comission.

WASHINGTON - George W. Bush won’t be at Ground Zero with President Obama Thursday in part because he feels his team is getting short shrift in the decade-long manhunt for Osama Bin Laden.

“[Bush] viewed this as an Obama victory lap,” a highly-placed source told the Daily News Wednesday.

I think the media is trying, as usual, to make Obama more than he's ever been. Seeing as how he is the WORST President in American history, that is not hard.

I really think he'll have a dead-cat bounce.

Many Americans may have a very short lived, newly found "respect" and perhaps even admiration for Obama at this point.

That is, until, they go to the gas station the next time.

Or see their next health insurance premium.

Or receive a layoff notice.

This won't help his almost guaranteed One term disastrous run...

obama is arrogant and will take credit, whether he deserves it or not.

His administration is still going after the CIA people who did waterboarding, so what does that tell you. He’s despicable...
