TEHRAN - A number of senior Palestinian analysts and politicians blasted the "contradictory and ambiguous" remarks uttered by US President Barack Obama in his recent speech, arguing that his comments lacked the "courage and audacity" needed for independent decision-making.
The Palestinian analysts criticized Obama for his blatant support for the Zionist regime and Washington's commitment to Israel's security.
Experience has taught Palestinians not to get happy with the US policies, member of the Islamic Jihad Movement Nafiz Izzam said.
Also, Ala Asa'd al-Saftawi, a Palestinian political analyst, said, "It is natural that Obama like other US presidents merely thinks of maintaining his own interests in the region and does not care for the interests of the regional nations."
He reiterated that the only important thing for the US is protecting Israel's security and tranquility under the current circumstances in the region, where popular uprisings are growing everyday.
The comments come after US President Barack Obama made a televised speech, where he assured Washington's regional allies that the United States will keep its "commitment to friends and partners".
Obama also warned Palestinians that they would not gain independence by denying the Israeli regime the "right to exist," claiming that efforts to "de-legitimize Israel" would fail.
In relevant remarks on Friday, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Saeed Jalili strongly criticized Washington for its support for repressive regimes in the region, Israel in particular.
Jalili said Obama's blatant support for Israel demonstrates the racist nature of US policies.
The Iranian official also went on to remind the Obama administration that Palestinians consider the Israeli occupied territories as their homeland.
Damn I Obama has finally made me agree with the terrorist.
The only thing this proves is that even with a Muslim in the White House there is no satisfying Palestinians. They want their own state, then they want it supported by others.
Yep: A welfare state.
We have to get past this "people are all just people" view. They're not the same. They don't all want the same things or the same things for their kids. The Palestinians want their kids to grow up and become suicide bombers. Maybe years of propaganda made them such hate-filled psychopaths but it doesn't change the fact that today, they are hate-filled psychopaths. We have to deal with that reality, not try to explain it away.

Did I just wake up in Bizzaro World. The Iranian Secretary being critical of Washington for supporting repressive governments? Pot meet Kettle!
