At the request of tea party leaders in Arizona, famed Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio has promised to investigate the validity of Barack Obama's purported long-form birth certificate in a determination of the president's eligibility for the county's 2012 election ballot.

No, it doesn't. JimRob himself has even commented about the insanity of jumping on board with any conspiracy theory that gets floated with respect to Obama's eligibility. (There are only a select few who do so.)

That is a scary thought. I doubt Americans would stand for it.
Something else I would regard as a little scary. I've seen people suggest that Obama is the Anti-Christ. I've seen several quotes from a passage in Revelations that says the beast will rule for 42 months. (A Presidential term is 48 months.) If Barry gets thrown out of office in July of 2012, I am going to be a bit freaked out by it. :)
Something i'm keeping a look out for. :)

Arpaio clarifies stand on Obama birth certificate

Yesterday in my office I met with a Tea Party group who presented me with 242 signatures from Maricopa County citizens asking me to consider launching an investigation into whether President Obama’s official birth certificate, presented on the White House website, is authentic or a forgery.
Their concern is that if the document is a forgery, as they claim many ‘experts’ suspect, the President’s name cannot be placed on the 2012 election ballot in Arizona.
What I have agreed to do, contrary to some publish media reports, is simply look at the evidence these people have assembled and examine whether it is within my jurisdiction to investigate the document’s authenticity.
I indicated in this meeting that I will also consider whether there is a more appropriate Arizona agency to determine the document’s veracity and ultimately whether the President’s name can lawfully be entered onto the 2012 election ballot.

The KPNXTV reporter was gobsmacked at the idea the Sheriff Joe wouldn't treat Obama as though he were above the law..."but he's the PRESIDENT"...[sputter, sputter]...it was downright comical...you could see this reporter was totally dismayed that Obama should be held to the same laws as everyone else.

2) The two 1961 birth announcements have been proven as fake.

Ann Dunham CONVENIENTLY passed away @ the same time ‘Dreams’ came out and when Barry was just beginning his political career.
I feel the same way. It's just that I think our odds of getting rid of him are better if we concentrate on voting him out.
I have never considered a point you seem to imply: if 'bam's presidency is determined to be illegitimate, then can the judges he appointed be recalled. I'm doubtful, since congress ratified their nomination.
But, if that outcome were to follow, then I take back everything I've written. Joyfully.
