Glenn Beck opened the first hour of his three-hour show today by calling attention to a plan by extreme leftists to bring disruption to daily life in Washington, D.C. during October. (It is presumed that the mostly white “duuuude, let's like protest” crowd in October will not have the level of equal-opportunity courage require to venture toward creating chaos in predominantly-black areas of predominantly-black Washington, D.C.)

Beck, who for much of the previous two weeks, was in Israel as part of his “Restoring Courage” solidarity event, started his show by saying “There’s a disturbing pattern happening right now, and it is imperative that you understand what it is and what it means.”

Shortly thereafter, Beck focused on the October 11 Washington, D.C. “Human Needs, Not Corporate Greed” series of events. According to the October2011.org home page: “October 2011 is the 10th anniversary of the invasion of Afghanistan and the beginning of the 2012 federal austerity budget. It is time to light the spark that sets off a true democratic, nonviolent transition to a world in which people are freed to create just and sustainable solutions.”

Frankly, Adam, I don’t think the “Arab Spring” type of serial protests will work well here.

Politicians who value their re-elections, particularly Liberal Democrats in the City of Washington, D.C.’s home government, will not take kindly to crazed white folk clogging up the city’s streets!

a plan by extreme leftists to bring disruption to daily life in Washington, D.C. during October.

It would make for some pretty good YouTube videos if they surround the WH.

But they probably will just be herded to the Capital.

The general themes are the same that everybody comes up with, that the majority opinion in country is demanding and that our government won’t answer to … tax the rich, end the wars, and cut the military. To protect Social Security and gives us Medicare for all. To protect workers’ rights to organize and to strike and to strike in solidarity. To protect our environment, to build our environment. To create infrastructure and green energy.

snore... just more rainbow farting (not too loud now!)

On the other hand, perhaps a flash mob will engage in their “Beat Whitey” hilarity. We shall see.

That word “sustainable” irks me. The Treaty of Lisbon has the phrase “sustainable development” in it five times; that is now part of the forced federal law of twenty-seven European countries.

The locals will relieve them of their guilty burdens of iPods, iPads, iPhones, and money. Frankly, I’m not seeing a downside here.
