Something very similar happened in 2008, and I think also during the 0Care debate. Some police chief somewhere, I think it was Kansas, announced he would arrest anyone who said something negative about 0. It’s just part and parcel of who 0 is.
I am a big supporter of the police (yes, I know there are some bad ones out there who deserve to be in prison), but if you arrest me for exercising my 1st Amendment Rights in a PEACEFUL manner, things won’t be peaceful for very long.

I was one of the people who had a good time following @attackwatch and #attackwatch last night. I may have contributed a few items as well.
In my informal survey of who used the hashtags, it was 99% bashing of Attackwatch, 1% defending, 0% using as intended. Mission accomplished!

Can you imagine the fury in the MSM and sites like DU if Bush had dared to do such a thing? All Bush ever said was, “Isn’t it wonderful we live in a country with freedom of speech!” when he was personally attacked. But Obama wants you to REPORT them to him - I guess for reeducation?
