There are people in China with the same sentiment as you, except, they are saying China should "stand up" to America.

But I have to admit, if I was playing a devil's advocate, I sort of agree with you. General Motors, gets out of the deal, huge profits. China, gets out of the deal, automotive technology. Americans look with interpretation of one of their own expanding so vigorously in China. Chinese, on the other hand, look with interpretation of a foreign car company wielding so much influence on their own turf.

Despite reluctance on both sides, I will have to agree, China is benefiting more as she is gaining technology, something she cannot do without. Whereas, GM, can do without the extra profit margin from China, albeit prefers not to.
