Unbelievable. Republicans just released their draft budget. Whats their solution to the economic crisis? Cut NPR, defund Planned Parenthood, and bust unions. Thats not a jobs plan, thats a radical agenda.
The Democratic Senate will stand strong against these cuts. But if the Tea Party gains only four seats, we lose the majority and our ability to defend womens rights, protect workers, and even listen to Morning Edition.
With only a few hours until the deadline, we still have $18,000 left to raise. Thats only 301 more people from Florida. If we miss this goal, our budget cant be met, and we start conceding states to the GOP. If that happens, Boehner and Cantor take over the Senate, too.
For the next few hours, your contribution will be matched dollar for dollar. Can you kick in $5?
If we fall short, the Senate will look like the House. Enough said.

Why don’t they just get a loan from the Energy Department?
“If we fall short, the Senate will look like the House...”
From your lips, Janie...
Think they have not gotten one? Just not in their name
What is this? I don't think I've seen that in political fundraising before. I suppose they might have a major donor pledging a match, but given contribution limits that would need a bit of fine print to make it all kosher.
Or maybe they're being creative in what they consider a match -- e.g., give $5 to the DSCC and the SEIU checks off a $5 "match" on one of its political accounts.
I can’t be sure about that.
What struck me is the tone of desperation, that they know they have gone way too far, that the mass of the American people are rising up against an oppressive government that is bent on our destruction.
For once, the LIBs are right. The draft budget IS unbelievable. After all the fighting, why is this not an austerity, cut the heart out of budget? DoE, DoED, EPA, HUD, HHS,FannieMae, FreddieMac, ATF, DeathCare all need to be defunded NOW!
“Cut NPR, defund Planned Parenthood, and bust unions.”
So where’s the downside?
Wonderful letter. The GOP should send same email to republicans and change the return address.
They also need to end the ESA and EPA immediately. Then put a stop to all of teh grants and awrds to study this that or the other, to build ball parks, hiking paths, etc.
These people are not attached to reality.
My thoughts exactly. Sounds like an excellent idea.
When Americans win Congress and the Presidency, we need to flood the zone; enact so many cuts, disestablish so many agencies that the Left and media whores cannot keep up with it.
My thoughts too. The media needs to be distracted by such things as the new president going to Arizona and pledging FULL support.
Liberal Hysteria! And just when the hysteria of that just about dies down, the president goes to a gulf state like Louisiana and declare full support for drilling in the gulf.
Liberal Hysteria! And just when the hysteria of that just about dies down, the president goes to Mount Rushmore and declares...wait for it...that he is going to put the face Ronald Reagan on the mount.
Liberal Hysteria! In the mean time, Congress finally, finally defunds the left.
Overwhelm thier sytems, purge all the departments and agencies with lightning speed one right after the other. Thier heads will explode.
For the sake of our republic we must be willing to confront the Left and roll back their destruction.
We desperately need a reversal to what Margaret Thatcher called the "rachet effect". The Libs over-reach and the Repubs answer back by simply stopping the over-reach, but not reversing their moves.
The time for austerity has come. I hope that the new Repub leadership understands that if they cut the Dept of Ed by 10% or eliminate it entirely, the MSM will paint them as evil either way. So why not go for the gusto!
