Important constitutional issues regarding Rubio: does a child of political refuges have split allegiance?
....Prominent birther, Orly Taitzrecently met with Sen. Rubios staff during a visit to Washington. We need the court to finally adjudicate this issue, who is a natural born citizen, Taitz, a California dentist and lawyer told the St. Petersburg Times.
Yesterday I was interviewed at length in regards to Marco Rubio and other issues by Alex Leary, reporter from St. Petersbug times. I have to say, that he was very well informed and respectful during the interview, far outcry from many other reporters and I will continue my dialog with this reporter on a number of other issues. Here is an important Constitutional conundrum, relating to Rubios eligibility: Does a child of political refuges, who cant go back to his parents country of origin, have split allegiance and ineligible to be the US president? I believe, that this issue needs to be taken by the Supreme Court and adjudicated, as it is an important Constitutional question....

But I agree, we need a firm determination on the constitutionality of the issue.
Rubi’s parents were born in Cuba when it was a US protectorate so that adds to the complexity.
The parents’ birthplace has absolutely nothing to do with anything.
For some it does...
People here simply do not get this. A child born in the United States is a natural born citizen. Period. I am amazed at how dense people can be sometimes.
“Rubio should file a motion for a declaratory judgment with the court. I would love for him to be declared eligible and a court could do it while being consistant with the Constitution.”
He won’t because he knows dang well he is not eligible to be president or VP.
If he does anyway, he is just another lying, crooked politician. And so what else is new?
This is an incorrect interpretation of law that needs to be challenged. People born here when their parents are here legally are citizens. The level of Natural Born is higher than that.
“...am amazed at how dense people can be sometimes.”
“Dense” is not the word. “Brain-dead” would be a better word but still not good enough...Although, “brain-dead” seems to be a finality of brain function.
I am totally flummoxed.
Like Wolfstar, you are both ‘totally flummoxed’ and ‘dense’.
Lol.
If he was born here, he qualifies. That is all.
Another “Constitutional Scholar” weighs in. What a joke.
umm how about two years earlier?
Obama born 8/4/61
Hawaii became a state 8/21/59
50 star flag official July 4, 1960
Try reading the constitution and requirements/qualifications for becoming president.
If he was born here, he qualifies. That is all.
so according to you anchor babies qualify to be President of the US?
I just wish the SCOTUS would sort it out. I think it’s too murky.
Me stoopid.
Thanks!
